Chinese gallnuts is also named Rhus chinensis Mill. It is a kind of medicinal material for many kinds of disease, which is rich in tannic acid, Firstly we extract the tannic acid from chinese gallnut and then make further chemical reaction to get Propyl Gallate.
The Propyl Gallate is white to milky white crystalline powder, odorless. Dissolved in 1000 parts water, 3 parts diethyl ether or 2000 parts peanut oil.

Function & Application
Propyl gallte is one of the antioxidants approved by FAO/WHO, which can be used in the grease or oil-based food to prevent rancidity and alternation of flavor & odor by contact with oxygen in the air. It can effectively inhibit fat oxidaation, and widely applicable in all kinds of livestock mix feed, feed ingredient of high fat, animals feed and grease.
Propyl gallte has very importation application in animal healthcare. It can enhance the dissolution of cellulose protein, blood clots and dilate blood vessels, it is an effective ingredient of treating cardiovascular and cerebrovascular diseases, viral disease, bacterial infection, gastric ulcer, viral hepatitis and other diseases.
Recommended dosage:
Not more than 0.01%: editable oil, fried food, biscuits and other products
Not more than 0.2g/kg: Livestock mix feed, normally dosage about 0.05g/kg
Propyl gallte has strong antioxidation if it is used in grease, but its solubility in grease is low, so it is recommended to compounding with the synergistic agent “citric acid” or BHA, BHT to get more antioxidation. In compounded dosage: total volume of BHA and BHT is not more than 0.1g/kg and Propyl gallte not more than 0.05g/kg.
