Abstract:

Dihydromyricetin (also named ampelopsin) is a flavonoid in Vine Tea, a plant name “Ampelopsis grossedentata W.Twang”. The Vine tea is rich in flavonoids, polysaccharides and polyphenols compounds.  

The flavonoids contain ampelopsin/ dihydromyricetin, myricetin, quercetin, quercetin-5-O-β–D-glucoside, taxifolin, apiin etc. The content of dihydromyricetin is highest in vine tea, especially in spire of vine tea.  

The vine tea contains water-soluble polysaccharide.

Function & Application

2) A Natural Feed Additive to replace for Conventional Antibiotics

Dihydromyricetin is a best feed additive, which is a substitution for conventional antibiotics; it is safe and non-toxic and improves meat quality as well. As per the relevant research, Dihydromyricetin not only has good antibacterial function, especially the bacteriostatic activity matches up with berberine hydrochloride; but also with Good Antioxidant activity.
